It provides dual benefit services wherein customers can avail brokerage services for executing the transaction & the depository services. The house provides personalized services to the valued customers maintaining utmost confidentiality. It is mostly active in secondary market operation. The house offers margin facilities to the valued customers against securities under the Margin Rules, 1999. The human resources of the house are well trained and capable of handling any situation of the bourse. They are undergoing different training programs, attending seminars & workshops on online trading, CDBL operations, securities laws, compliance standards and requirements, international accounting etc. organized by SEC/DSE/CDBL & other related organizations.
Md. Rafiqul Islam, Managing Director of the Company is a pioneer of securities business, where he finds an enduring interest. He is an honorable TREC Holder Representative as well as former Vice President of Dhaka Stock Exchange Limited. He was also elected as Director of the Dhaka Stock Exchange Limited in several times.
He was the owner of former M/S Rafiqul Islam & Co. and the initiator of the present corporate entity "Parkway Securities Limited" a name of the most successful brokerage houses of Dhaka Stock Exchange Limited. The house is a full-service depository participant (DP) and experienced in providing such service as a pioneer in the capital market for last 26 (twenty-six) years.
The house is a member of Dhaka Stock Exchange Limited since 1997 enrolled as M/S Rafiqul Islam & Co., then this Company started its journey providing brokerage services to the small investors, high net-worth individuals, & institutional investors. M/S Rafiqul Islam & Co. has been converted into a corporate entity in the name & style of Parkway Securities Limited in 2006. The house obtained Licenses for brokerage & full-service depository participant from Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission (BSEC). The house also obtained dealer license from BSEC.
The house started its business with only one branch. Now, it operates its business in the capital market of DSE comprising with 2 (two) branches & 3 (three) extensions of main office around the city of Dhaka under the direct supervision of corporate office/main office. At present, the Company has employed 40 experienced and efficient executives/employees to provide the best services to its valued clients with the moto of “customers’ satisfaction first, service with trust”.
